How to get rid of pimples
Through the years, I have found some excellent remedies (home solutions or commercial products that I personally found useful) where I can get rid of my pimples faster, easier and without harming my skin. Here are some tips for getting rid of pimples and zits.
How to get rid of pimples fast?
1. Two or three hours prior to going to bed (or if you are sitting at home in the day), wash your face, and then dab a little toothpaste (not the gel types). Let it sit for at least 30 min or sleep with it on, then wash away. Repeat this for a few days. You’ll notice the zit will go away faster than if you just wash it.
2. Steam it out - Every time I have a pimple, I usually put a steaming hot washcloth over it to open the pore. If you desperately think you need to pop the zit, make sure your hands are clean, and then wrap tissue around your ring fingers. Push gently and if nothing comes out, stop!
3. Use tea tree oil on your face. I saw it on TV on Oprah. It not only flattens the pimples, but also dramatically reduces the redness of the acne. You can get a bottle at most, if not all, beauty supply stores.
4. Apply an ice cube to the pimple and hold it for a few minutes. The ice cube decreases the swelling and redness and at the same time shrinks enlarged pores.
5. Rubbing your skin with lemon juice is the best and most effective way to treat pimples lemon juice lightens red scars and blemishes, maintains the pH balance of the skin.
6. Apply honey to any affected areas several times a day. The honey is known to reduce redness, nourish the skin and give a natural glow to the skin.
7. If you are absolutely desperate and have no other choice because nothing else is working then I suggest using a concealor as this will provide a temporary fix to the problem area.
8(new!). Make a paste out of salt and a dash of tea tree oil and put it on the pimple, leave it on overnight and wash it off in the morning.
